The Beach Shack story
The Bali Beach Shack (BBS) bar and restaurant opened its doors in January 2008 and has entertained thousands of Aussie and international visitors to Bali since.
BBS was established by a couple of Brisbane entrepreneurs with a love of Bali and a desire to relocate and enter the competitive restaurant business. The concept for the restaurant is simple - to provide travellers with a little taste of Australia for those days when you're feeling a little homesick. To this end, the restaurant serves excellent quality food with a host of traditional Aussie meals (including the Sunday roast), some very tasty traditional Indonesian cuisine and of course, ice-cold beer.
Shortly after opening, BBS took on the Drag Cabaret shows after Hulu closed. These proved to be very successful and the shows are now a significant feature of the restaurant with 2 shows, 4 nights a week. Before long, the restaurant expanded it's entertainment offerings to include Baby Balinese Dancers, and a regular band, "Jiggy Jig" that plays live music every night.
